Brenda Johnston B.A. Honours Women’s Studies. M.A. Graduate Division of Educational Research. She is a human rights educator for the Alberta Civil Liberties Research Centre at the University of Calgary where develops educational tools and works with teachers, students and organizations in Calgary and surrounding area. Brenda has taught as a sessional instructor at the University of Calgary and Mount Royal University as well as been active on various committees and boards that address inequities in race and gender; some of these include the Arusha Center, Canadian Women’s Studies Association, Committee Against Racism, Committee for Anti-Racist Education, and the Stop Racism/March 21 Committee and Calgary Anti-Racism Education (CARED).
