Kerry Gladue was born and raised in Edmonton Alberta. He is a second generation residential school survivor as well as a survivor of childhood sexual abuse. Kerry shares his story in a gentle way and is a person who glows with inspiration and hope. He is committed to giving this hopeful perspective so children and youth can avoid risky behaviour. He also imparts the importance of empathy through his story. Kerry helps youth audiences see the possible outcomes of the choices they make, to give them a future and a hope.

Kerry shares how addiction happens, from an emotional and brain science perspective, and how things changed for him. He has worked in both the programs from which he graduated: Simon House Recovery Centre and Calgary Drug Court. Mr. Gladue is a media spokesperson for cc4ms (Canadian Centre for Child Sexual Abuse) and also serves on the Board of Directors for cc4ms.
