Kathleen Ladouceur has been working with Development and Peace since 2013 as a Catholic Schools Program Officer, first in Ontario and now in Alberta. She holds a MA in Legal Studies: Globalization and International Law from Carleton University, and a Canadian Certificate in Youth Ministry Studies from the Center for Ministry Development. She authored the Our Call to Caritas Professional Development kit on Catholic Social Teaching, which was reviewed and endorsed by the Education Commission of the Assembly of Catholic Bishops of Ontario. With academic, theological and practical experience working on issues ranging from homelessness to indigenous relations, she is currently focused on making social justice practical for educators and those in formation for the permanent diaconate. Originally from southern Manitoba, she has been married since 2009, has a two year old son, and is currently learning breadmaking and french pastry baking.
