Nick Moore, B.Ed., B.Sc.
Nick is an education professional with a diverse background. Nick taught sexual health education in Calgary and area schools as well as anti-bullying and anti-homophobia education programs. Nick has worked with the LGBTQ community as an organizer and facilitator of the Calgary Gay-Straight Alliance Network and monthly roundtable meetings, as well as the coordinator of Calgary Camp fYrefly (a 4-day leadership retreat for marginalized LGBTQ youth) for it’s first 2 years. For the last 4 years, Nick worked as the School Program Manager at the YouthLink Calgary Police Interpretive Centre running forensic science and crime prevention programming targeted at helping youth make informed decisions around healthy relationships, online safety, bullying, gangs and drugs. Nick recently launched a new cannabis education program aiming at supporting the parents/guardians, teachers, social workers and other caring adults to support youth in making informed decisions around cannabis and substance use.
