Sara Peden

  Sara is a Registered Psychologist with expertise in the science of reading and reading instruction, as well as factors that interfere with reading (learning difficulties or disabilities, dyslexia). She provides consultation, assessment and intervention, as well as advocacy services. She holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Education, and a Bachelor of Applied Science degree. Along with being a psychologist Sara is a certified teacher (Ontario College of Teachers). She is passionate about public education, student learning and ensuring that every child learns to read. Sara was employed as a consulting psychologist in schools all over Alberta from 1992 to 2016. In 2016 she left the employ of a major urban school district. In 2017 she ran (unsuccessfully) to be a School Board Trustee. Now Sara may be privately engaged by school boards and individuals for consultation, assessment, or intervention services, mainly in early reading, spelling/written language and math.
