Computational thinking is key for 21st century learning. It promotes problem solving, creativity and collaboration among students and teachers. It allows students to be creators of digital content that can be shared online, building their confidence in a connected world. While intimidating for teachers just starting out, many free resources exist to help teachers share computational thinking with their students in a meaningful and engaging environment. With these resources, teachers can embed computational thinking within the K–12 curriculum across a variety of subject areas. In this workshop, teachers will learn about and engage in computational thinking and how to access many resources so they can share these experiences with their students.
