Physical Literacy is defined as “the motivation, confidence, physical competence, knowledge and understanding to value and take responsibility for engagement in physical activities for life.” In RDPSD schools we are focusing on developing fundamental movement skills, fitness skills, living skills, and active participation in all of our students. We are endeavoring to develop a solid foundation in physical literacy so our students will choose to remain active throughout their life.  Physical Literacy is not a destination but a journey over a life span. Our students will develop skills at their own individual rates as they progress along the physical literacy continuum.  Physical literacy constantly adjusts and adapts to changes within a lifetime. This session will give you some hands on ideas on how to develop a variety of fundamental movement skills in our youth. These activities will be easy to implement and are highly effective. Come and participate in this active session to learn a variety of activities to help develop a broad spectrum of physical literacy skills with minimal equipment and time.
