Come prepared to play with Jane's favorite math manipulative, a math shaker. A pill container filled with regular dice has proven to be the most popular manipulative for our students to use.  Engage your primary students by using quick shake breaks to music, then practice fluency strategies including the following concepts:  make tens, make 20, commutative and associative properties for + and X, doubles, doubles plus 1, adding tens and patterns, multiple addend and multi-digit operations, place value to 100's and more. You will be given a music list, recording sheets and come away with ideas to use Monday morning!
