Anxiety is at epidemic levels among children and teens. Because teachers have such an influential role in the lives and learning of students, it is critical they understand what anxiety is, what it looks like in the classroom, and what to do to help.  This workshop will promote teachers’ understanding of anxiety and how to identify students experiencing anxiety; especially when that anxiety is seemingly invisible. Participants will learn how anxiety affects learning and how traditional ways of offering help may unwittingly feed into students’ worries. Finally, participants will learn effective tools to help students manage their anxiety in the classroom to promote their resilience and overall well-being.
