Adobe After Effects, the visual effects and motion graphics program included in Adobe’s Creative Suite, is a powerful and versatile tool for visual communication. It can be used to edit and alter existing films, to add special effects into student film projects, or even to create whole animated worlds from scratch. It can also be incredibly intimidating.

Led by Brian Batista, a Calgary-based artist, animator and instructor with the Quickdraw Animation Society, the Alberta College of Art and Design and his own Atelier Artista, and hosted at the Quickdraw Animation Society's studios in Sunalta (easily accessible by CTrain), this session will explore some of the powerful features that After Effects provides to create slick, entertaining and professional-looking animation. This will be a fast-paced, hands-on session designed to introduce you to new creative options with the potential to enhance your own presentations along with your students’ work.

This is a hands-on session intended for teachers who have little to no experience with Adobe After Effects.
