Lego is more than a toy. It is a sophisticated yet simple tool that can enable students to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding. This is a fun and interactive session that includes activities related to ELA, Social Studies, Science, Math, and CTF. You will have the opportunity to think beyond the brick and discover new ways of utilizing this amazing manipulative in your teaching practice. I will share how students, including ones with complex needs, are able to showcase their understanding through Lego. Learn simple assessment adaptations that can help students feel successful and enable others to see their abilities. Discover how to establish an effective Lego space without breaking the bank. Participants will receive a container of Lego and experience tested lessons.
