STEPPIN’ in the Classroom

STOMP-STOMP-CLAP CLAP-STOMP-CLAP. Step Dance is based on a rich history of South African gumboot dancing and on the modern urban styles of “steppin”. This is a POWERFUL and percussive dance in which dancers use their entire body as an instrument to produce complex rhythms and sounds through a mixture of footsteps, spoken word, and hand claps!
