This session will give participants a synopsis of an engaging school based project that was funded by a grant in support of Social Justice Learning from the Aspen Foundation.  Project details include having students chose and research a social justice issue, be introduced to various “street art” techniques by a local Edmonton street artist and display their learning in an art campaign that raises awareness of their chosen issue.  Participants will walk away with resources and ideas to implement their own Social Justice & Street Art program in either their school, their Social Studies classroom or their Art classroom.
