Psychological First Aid (PFA) is a way of helping students immediately after they experience a traumatic event. You will learn how to provide practical support by respecting your student’s dignity, culture, and abilities. PFA provides you a stepped-care approach with four action principles that will assist you in supporting students after a tragic event, emergency or disaster in their community. Learn the eight essential elements of recovery and how to care for your own well-being prior to assisting students.
