Want to refine your choral conducting skills for use in the classroom or music rehearsal? This session offers the opportunity to conduct a choir made up of your colleagues on a selection of choral music. Working with this choir will allow for a hands-on experience of hearing immediately how your gesture shapes vocal sound. For those who conduct, you will receive feedback on your gestures from a professional choral conductor and educator. For those who choose to sing, watching a fellow conductor and hearing the choir's response will improve the understanding of the importance of appropriate gesture. The repertoire will be educationally sound, appropriate for elementary and secondary ability and will help promote your music program. Come ready to watch, listen, and conduct!
