In a city and a province that is becoming increasingly racially diverse and an environment where some political leaders are espousing racism, how are our classrooms affected?  How does increasing diversity and racism impact teachers and students?  How do we create inclusive environments for teachers and students in today’s changing diversity?

This participatory session taught by an interracial teaching team will guide participants through what can be difficult conversations about race and racism, facilitate exercises that can be used in classrooms, and share information about support available to teachers who are working and teaching in diverse situations.
