Coaching school sports teams is a multi-faceted task that goes much further than teaching technical skills and systems. One of the most crucial areas for school sport coaches is to focus on character development in their athletes, young adults who are very much impacted and molded by the influential adults in their lives. This workshop focuses on a set of life skills to highlight, as well as processes and coaching approaches that help ensure athletes are adopting those skills. Finally, specific, research-based tools are provided to ensure that the messages transfer and lessons stick with the students after they move on from your athletic program.
