Increasingly we are reminded that the best way to teach mathematical concepts is through problem solving.  This is also a focus of the CBEs Math strategy included in the current Three Year Education plan.  How does a teacher effectively teach concepts in a progressive manner without problem solving being mere application or an add on unit?  Where does skill development and practice fit in to this model?  How do teachers create effective problems when they are difficult to find?

This session will explore these concepts and hopefully get you thinking of ways you can add this to your pedagogical repertoire.
