Inclusion in an L@ Classroom - A Case Study

Administration and School LeadershipInclusive EducationFrench and International Languages
1 Hour Session
Friday Feb 15   12:30 PM to 01:30 PM (1 hour)
Inclusion is now the norm in most of Alberta classrooms, but serious issues still remain for students in second language programs who have challenges. This session will focus on a success story from both the perspective of a parent and a teacher who has worked with this student. We will talk about challenges and opportunities. This session is a "best case" example of how inclusion should work in a second language classroom. Information will be provided on advocating for testing, partnering with the school for inclusion and adaptation of the curriculum, access to internal and external resources, and how to ensure your students success.
