This workshop is for teachers who are interested in expanding their knowledge of how to bring Shakespeare’s plays truly alive in the classroom. Selections of text will include Romeo and Juliet, Julius Caesar, Hamlet, and Macbeth.

Participants will interact with the text in playful ways which will:

- awaken the emotional, imaginative and physical worlds of the play.
- provide exercises to explore heightened language, rhetorical devices and verse structure.
- inspire personally connected and intellectually dynamic performances.

Whether your students are well versed in Shakespeare or newcomers, this workshop will give you tools for working with them in creative and playful ways; encouraging them to expand in understanding, engage physically, intellectually and emotionally, make personal connections, and fully activate their imaginations.
