Themes:
Inclusive EducationSpecial Education
What:
1 Hour Session
When:
Thursday Feb 14   09:00 AM to 10:00 AM (1 hour)
Where:
In this session we want to bring together teachers from Division I and II to talk about behaviour and its real impact on learning and wellness in the classroom. The question is: “How do we teach curriculum, attend to formative assessment, differentiate learning, and maintain relationships, all while supporting students with behaviour?” Our session will focus on understanding the purpose of a student’s disruptive behaviour in order to support their success in the inclusive classroom. We will explore how to incorporate academic, social-emotional, and behavioural needs into successful outcomes. Grounded in research and trialed through experience, we offer opportunities to share and reflect, as well as practical resources and tools that you can use in your classroom so that all students can experience success.
