The educational Maker Movement is all about designing for student engagement, promoting design thinking, and providing self-starter opportunities. But stepping into this new and breath-taking way of project-based learning can be daunting – where are the curriculum tie ins? Where is the Math in Maker? In this session, Kathleen Phelan, STEM Learning Lab educator, will collaborate with you to reveal how math is deeply integrated in Maker, where the student knowledge and understanding is contained, and how to combine curriculum outcomes into your lesson planning. Expand your students’ confidence and competencies today by creating high-level, hands-on, engaging, and meaningful learning experiences with STEM Education and join other teachers in making your classroom a game-changer in education.
