The Dirt on Edible Education
Edible education uses food as a means for learning. Food whether cooking or growing it, enables students to apply their knowledge learned in virtually every subject and apply it to everyday life.
Our own health relies on nutrients from plants making it important to understand the process and systems of plant growth in order to better our own health.
This session will provide a demonstration of an edible education activity that teachers can take back to their classroom for students to learn experientially about the effects of soil and water absorption on plant growth.
